Twitter Relaxes 140 character limit

The much anticipated Twitter update finally came today. The latest update to the microblogging social media platform allows pictures, video, gifs, quotes & polls not to be counted against the 140 character limit.

Will it make a difference? Absolutely! It's widely known that media attachments such as pictures, videos & gifs have a better engagement rate on any social media platform and Twitter is no different.

The welcomed change will allow individuals, businesses & social marketers to share more of their message when using using graphics. The big question is will it make a difference when it comes to their daily active users? Probably not! Twitter needs to improve on many fronts but that is for another post.
